This paper bag floor idea is a cheap and easy project for a creative and industrious homeowner. The result looks like a cross between hardwood, cork and leather. All for a super low price (It only costs approximately $1 a square foot.). This project is Eco-friendly and fume-free, use either old paper bags or recycled-content craft paper and Elmer’s glue.
Here are steps to do it:
- Crumple ripped-up brown kraft paper into balls,
- then soak the scraps of paper in glue,
- lay them on the floor and smoothed,
- let them dry completely and then cover the floor with a couple of coats of clear polyurethane.
