DIY Car Upholstery Cleaner

You may be ready to sell your car or you just want to keep your car clean so that your colleagues can give some compliments whenever you give them a ride? In any case, you may need to clean your upholstery, but if you have ever attempted to clean, you would probably know it is not easy.

A common misconception when cleaning any kind of upholstery is that the more water used, the better the result. Moisture is extremely bad for the fabric, and can damage the fabric as well as any metal portion. This can lead to rust, and more stains to deal with in the future.

So what do we do? How about hiring professionals to clean it for you? But it’s too expensive, and you cannot do it as often as you want.Fortunately, I found this effective solution with a few inexpensive ingredients to make your own DIY car upholstery cleaner and get the inside of your car looking like new again.

Those ingredients are: grated soap, Borax, and boiling water (plus lavender essential oil, if you want a nicer smell). Stir everything in a bowl until it’s foamy and the soap is dissolved and then scrub it into your upholstery.
